24th-27th April 2008 welcomes the ‘Real Food Festival’… for all you organic foodies out there, this is like visiting the Cadburys factory if you’re a chocaholic…
The festival, according to its website, prides itself in its care for “sustainability, provenance, biodiversity and fairness to farmers and rural communities.”
Basically the festival is here in London’s Earls Court to showcase products, ingredients, wines and drinks from small and unique producers, alongside educational and entertaining workshops aimed at promoting the benefits of switching to local, organic food and drink.
Most importantly, they believe that producers “should receive fair compensation for their work”..
If organic is something that interests you, but you don’t really know what’s good or what to look out for then this sounds like a good place to start?! And actually tickets aren’t as expensive as I thought they’d be, £15 in advance or £18 on the door… well it’s quite a lot when you have only £5 to your name haha…
