Good news!! Newham is one of the latest boroughs to be celebrating after being given Fairtrade status 
The constituent has had to show that it not only serves Fairtrade in its meetings and offices, but also that the shops, cafes, restaurants etc are also fully equipped with stock… on top of this and according to their website, they had to attract a suitable amount of media attention, organise events and lead a steering group…
This is brilliant, another notch on the bedpost we could say, but I wonder how much of shining example they’ll be in order to turn some of the more resilient boroughs out there?
