I’ve just spoken to Tom from a group at Kings College who are campaigning for a Fairtrade Westminster - and he says that Fairtrade Fortnight went really well this year:
. They had 8 stalls giving out free chocolate, tea, coffee, info sheets and postcards
. They held a Fairtrade Club night - I wonder what that entailed?! There’s no Fairtrade vodka I don’t think, if there was I’d be the first to know!
. And they also used Fairtrade footballs, rugby balls and netballs in their inter-sports Macadam Cup
All all in all they got 300 signatures to send to the council so fingers crossed for them… if anyone is interested in helping them or joining them, they’ve got a group of Facebook, click here!
Qino One vodka is certified fair trade, made from fair trade quinoa. I think so far it’s only available in the U.S.
